Recycling Preparation
Please follow these simple steps before dropping off your recyclables. Do not leave recyclables on the ground.
- Remove lids
- Rinse containers
- Flatten – plastic jugs, boxes, large tin cans
- Put recyclables in correct compartment
- Bundle newspapers or put in paper bags when using the newspaper sheds

Curbside Recycling
BOROUGH OF PUNXSUTAWNEY residents, businesses and institutions are required by state law to recycle curbside.
Residents must recycle curbside the following items:
- Aluminum cans
- Clear, brown and green glass bottles and jars
- Tin Cans
- #1 & #2 plastic bottles & jugs, no lids
- Leaf waste – collection provided by Borough
Businesses and Institutions must recycle curbside the following items:
- Office Paper
- Cardboard
- Aluminum cans
- Clear, brown and green glass bottles and jars
- Tin Cans
- #1 & #2 plastic bottles & jugs, no lids
- Leaf waste – collection provided by Borough
#1 and #2 plastic bottles and jugs, newspapers and magazines may also be dropped off at the recycling containers located at the Public Works Building on Clearfield Street.

BROCKWAY BOROUGH residents are required to recycle curbside clear, brown, and green glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and jugs, aluminum cans, tin cans, cardboard, newspapers, and leaf waste. Recyclables are collected every Wednesday. Put recyclables at the curb Tuesday night before midnight.
